Interviewer extraordinaire Litsa Dremousis (as featured in Esquire, Huffington Post, and McSweeney’s) will host a live conversation with Kris about Reverend America, his career, the craft of fiction, living in Las Vegas, and his love affair with American music. Hear Kris Saknussemm read from Reverend and then feature the release of the original album, Reverend America, featuring Christopher O’Reilly, Eric Wyatt, the late Dennis Hopper, and more. Have some pints and laughs with us!
Kris Saknussemm is the internationally acclaimed author of Zanesville, Private Midnight, Enigmatic Pilot and the short story collection Sinister Miniatures. His work has appeared in Playboy, Nerve, The Boston Review, The Hudson Review, The Antioch Review, New Letters and elsewhere. He is a 2011-2012 recipient of the Black Mountain Institute’s Tom and Mary Gallagher Fellowship at the University of Las Vegas.
Litsa Dremousis’ work appears in The Believer, Esquire, Huffington Post, Jezebel, McSweeney’s, MSN Music, Nerve, New York Magazine, The Onion’s A.V. Club, Slate, on NPR and in sundry other venues.
