A small press located on the lands of the Spokane Tribe, commonly called Spokane, Washington, USA
Poet and librarian Greg Bem created Carbonation Press in late 2023 after years of supporting small press activities around the world, as well as leading small publishing projects. Carbonation Press supports writers in the publication of their oddly-sized works.
Carbonation Press aims to publish the work of writers spanning different genres and forms. Publications have limited runs, with each run for each title limited to a quantity of 30 for distribution and 1 for an archive. The press offers print-on-demand opportunities for each title, and additional runs are considered depending on demand.
Greg Bem is a poet and librarian based in Spokane. He grew up in southern Maine and studied under Michael Gizzi and others at Roger Williams University, and then moved to Philadelphia where he lived for two years. Prior to Spokane, he lived in Seattle for 13 years and has spent time working and living in Cambodia twice. He is passionate about writing and creating visual and auditory artworks, and is excited about publishing voices from around the world.
