A new collection of audio works, experimentally exploring the CHOMPI instrument in preparation for live performance.
The CHOMPI has been one of my most beloved new technological acquisitions in recent months, and I have already explored performing with it in a couple spaces. Still, my experience with anything musical and technical is minimal and my skills are even less so. So I have taken it upon myself to start exploring more sophisticated CHOMPI manipulation through the CHOMPI itself, some mics, a reverb effects pedal, and the magic of Ableton.
This is a very rough collection of experiments with CHOMPI, hopefully apt in their name as “exports,” and one that will hopefully lead to bigger and more intense/intensive collections of works, either for production or for performance (or both). Listen to Exports 2 below or here.
