Photos: Cambodia Spring Break, 6

This post recaps my sixth day traveling back in Cambodia during this year’s Spring Break.

Asleep early meant arisen early. I started my sixth day walking to Otres Village, where my goal was to eat a substantial breakfast.

The fully-blossomed flowers were gorgeous and unattended. Except by me, of course.

That gorgeous red-brown mud that sits so well atop the surface of Cambodia. I will never forget it, and hopefully never have to walk in it, again!

Since I had the entire day to myself and Otres, and I was feeling exhausted from the sunburn, I decided to spend a couple hours of the morning walking around Otres Village, seeing what was to be seen. Sadly, the majority of the village seemed to be occupied by hippy-esque foreigners, which, though interesting, didn’t really satisfy me.

The architecture, however, was very satisfying. I don’t think this level of design exists in much of the “rural” areas of Cambodia.

I only saw a couple of water buffalo on the trip. Here is one:

And that’s where my camera’s photos end for the day. After my trip to the village, I went back to the coast and spent the day meditating and reading. I then went to an Italian restaurant, Papa Pippo, where I ate delicious gnocchi, and then ended up getting food poisoning. It was so sad, because this was the restaurant I wanted to attend the previous night (but couldn’t get a seat because of Trivia Night) and couldn’t get a seat, and then I ended up eating the delicious food and drinking the wine and then getting sick. Boo. Basically after eating, I strolled the beach a bit more and then headed in and slept to the morning. No more pictures from the camera, sadly, but here are some from the cell phone:

There are approximately 10 days worth of photos. This has been day 6.
